English Course Costs – Transparent Pricing

The question of how much an English course costs is legitimate – and deserves an honest answer. With many language schools, pricing is opaque: enrolment fees, material costs, VAT, and hidden surcharges make the actual cost difficult to calculate. At Simmonds Language Services, things are different. We believe in transparent pricing: what we quote is the final price. All our course fees are VAT-exempt under §4 Nr.21 UStG – you pay exactly the stated amount with no hidden extras.

Our pricing structure is deliberately simple: online private tuition with a native-speaking trainer starts from €60 per lesson. In-person training at our offices in Hannover (Schaufelder Straße 11) or Berlin (Kurfürstendamm 30) ranges from €90–115 per hour. Corporate training for multiple employees receives individual rates. Plus a unique advantage: our AI avatar technology for additional speaking practice is included in every course – at no extra charge. This gives you significantly more practice time than other providers at the same price.

Compared to other providers, we offer excellent value for money. Major language schools like Berlitz charge €100–200 per private lesson, EF and Inlingua are similarly priced. Online platforms like Preply offer cheaper rates (€15–60) but without structured course design, quality control of teachers, or supplementary AI technology.
