What do you want to achieve in English?

Pick a goal or describe it in one sentence — our AI maps it to the right target level.

How long does learning English really take?

The honest answer is a range, not a number. Cambridge English works with roughly 200 guided learning hours per CEFR level. Starting at B1 and aiming for confidence at work (B2) means around 150 to 200 hours — typically 6 to 12 months with one 90-minute unit a week plus self-study.

A concrete goal is much faster than a whole level: most participants manage “confident in the weekly team meeting” within 10 to 20 units, because the lessons train only the situations you actually need.

Frequently asked questions

How does the fluency calculator work?+

It is based on the Cambridge orientation figures of roughly 200 learning hours per CEFR level (cumulative: A2 ≈ 180–200, B1 ≈ 350–400, B2 ≈ 500–600, C1 ≈ 700–800 hours). One 90-minute 1:1 unit counts as two self-study hours — a practical value from over 20 years of teaching, not a guarantee.

What does “fluent” actually mean?+

For most jobs: B2. From that level you join meetings spontaneously, stop avoiding the phone and write emails without a translator. You need C1 for negotiations, board presentations and leading in English. Near-native C2 is rarely a professional requirement.

How accurate is the quick check?+

Ten questions place you roughly on the CEFR scale — enough for the projection. For a reliable placement, take the full free placement test or discuss your level in the free initial consultation.

What does reaching my goal cost?+

The calculator shows the range: number of 1:1 units × €90 to €110 per 90-minute unit, VAT-exempt. Pure self-study costs nothing — but takes considerably longer depending on the goal. You receive a concrete quote after the free initial consultation.
