Our English for Phone Calls is designed for professionals who need to make English phone calls in their daily work – from reception and customer service to senior management. You learn not just standard phrases but practise in realistic role-plays with native-speaking trainers from the UK and USA. We work on your pronunciation, your listening comprehension, and your confidence on the phone. Because on the phone, body language is absent – your voice and word choice must be all the more convincing.
Our blended learning concept combines live training with cutting-edge AI technology. In lessons with your trainer, you work on your individual weaknesses and simulate your real phone situations. Between lessons, you can practise any time with our AI avatar: the avatar calls you, runs through various scenarios – from a friendly customer enquiry to a difficult complaint – and gives you immediate feedback on grammar, pronunciation, and conversation management. This way you train every day and make rapid progress, rather than practising just once a week.
Particularly important when phoning: cultural differences. In English, small talk at the start of a call is not just polite – it is expected. An abrupt 'I need to speak to Mr Schmidt' without a greeting comes across as rude. We train you in the cultural subtleties of English-speaking phone etiquette – so that you come across as confident not just linguistically but culturally too. Whether British courtesy phrases or the more direct American style: you learn to express yourself appropriately in every context.
